Make the Glamorous Whisky Cocktail Served at the Tony Awards
Not many people know that Broadway’s biggest night is also an occasion to try the best food and drink that New York City has to offer. At the official afterparty following the 79th Annual Tony Awards, nominees, presenters, and VIP guests can mix and mingle over cheese-dusted fried chicken bites from Naro, cinnamon crullers from Daily Provisions, wagyu Chicago-style hot dogs from 5 Acres, and an array of one-night-only cocktails from the award show’s official sponsor, Dewar’s Scotch Whisky.
Of course, there will also be cocktails at the actual Tony Awards, which takes place at Radio City Music Hall. Tucked away within the venue’s iconic Art Deco balcony lookouts is a swanky speakeasy, which guests can visit while waiting for the show to start. Cocktails available at the Baccarat x Dewar’s Scotch Whisky Speakeasy include the Curtain Call, an elegant sour-style drink with blood orange purée, and the 21st Measure, an Old Fashioned riff with chocolate mole bitters and Bénédictine.
If your invite for the 79th Annual Tony Awards got lost in the mail, we have you covered with this cocktail recipe from Broadway’s most exclusive party.
