A love for fine wine, art and antiques comes alive at Berghold Vineyards This beautiful state of the art winery is a “must see” while touring Lodi and offers a view of the past with the perfect touch of modern day artistry.
Selecting the best grapes from its 85 acre vineyards, the boutique Berghold family winery produces only 5,000 cases of barrel aged wines annually. These wines include “Footstomp” Zinfandel, and 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Viognier wines under the “Berghold” label. Delicious Cabernet Sauvignon/Syrah and Cabernet Franc/Syrah blends are also offered. Under the “Stogie Club” label unique estate ports and Late Harvest Botrytis Viognier are made when nature allows.
Joe and Kay Berghold have been grape growers in Lodi since 1986. The winery and tasting room opened in May 2005 and was designed with the look and feel of a romantic California barn. Key to the design and building process was the couple’s vast collection of American Victorian antiques. Dating back to the late 1800’s, many of these pieces have were incorporated into both construction and décor.
